I have a few more concerts here, in the beautiful church at Perho (Finland) and another place nearby at the October...
SPAIN! Morrocco! The Rock of Gibraltar!
30th October-10th November
We arrive then to Malaga! And first stop: Fuengirola, Alhambra etc...
We are continuing the 80 Year European/ Scandanavian Anniversary Tour with these two great men's choirs from my city (Karleby/Kokkola):
The Kokkolan Lauluveikot and The Ottopojat.
If you remember, we began their Anniversary concert right here in Karleby/Kokkola several months ago. It is an honor to be their Guest Soloist as they continue on...
Those travelling with us, including the choir members, over 80! Should be quite an adventure...
All concerts will be broadcasted "Live!" throughout Spain and via the internet if you want to hear. It will be of course in Finnish but listen!
Back to Finland!

In the Cultural House in the city of Vasa
As guest soloist, with my former pianist and his great Swedish-speaking choir Icthys. This guy was my first musical director I had here before Mikael and I started working together about 8 years ago. His name is Stefan Jansson and very gifted. We have not played together since he "turned me over" to Mikael Svarvar. Stefan's work required more of his time in those days...
It will be great to get to minister with them, as he too is especially loved in swedish-speaking Finland and in Sweden. Honored to be able to work with him again after all these years.
My Bands' Hammond Organist, who plays with The Dynamite Band!, Pastor Rasmus Forsman, will join us! You see, Stefan is married to the organists' sister! Keeping it all in the family!
Holiday time! On up to Lapland!
19th-25th November
Booked again at the Annual International Jazz Festival in Lapland, called "Kaamos" Jazz. Which means the darkess time of the year in Lapland. No sun! Love it.
Been there 6-7 times over the decades and always a joy to go back. The organiser knows how to do it right for his artists and the public. It is very very different from the usual Finnish jazz and blues festivals in that he has unusual musical groups. They are not so famous in the world, not really big named stars in that sense, but they are never the less gifted and not "high maintenance" like some big american stars for example who take all the money they can..
The organiser, Kauko is his name, travels the world all year, looking for great artists to come to Lapland. You would love it at this particular festival. So intimate.
The artists play right in your face almost every night. They are so close to the tables. There is a big stage too for the big events, but most of us are playing also in very small places, which is super nice and reminds me of the old days, back in the '60's (wow AM I REALLY OLD!), but in those days, you were close to the groups and felt more like we were all one. Today it is much different sadly...
Lapland in winter in particular, is a place "to die for" for lack of a better terminology! Tons of snow, winter street fires burning around the clock, reindeers walking up and down the streets, sleighs with those cute sleigh dogs and folk skiing and all that... I will not refuse such a blessing! It is rare!
All these mentioned things are nice, but it goes without saying that even without them, my main reason for going, not just to this festival, but anywhere, is that the Gospel be announced.
