Oh Happy Day! Benefit Concert For Haiti and the Poor and Homeless of Finland Place: The City of Ylivieska's Acoustic Concert Hall.
Haitiin virtasi valtavasti myötätuntoa ja apua heti viime vuoden maanjäirstyksen jälkeen. Mutta me ihmiset olemme nopeita unohtamaan, avustusten määrä väheni pian. Haitissa on silti edelleen valtava pula sairaalatarvikkeista, vettä pitää saada puhdistettua ja yli miljoonaa kärsinyttä ihmistä hoidettua.

Ylivieskalainen musiikkipedagogi ja pianisti Jouko Kantola sai vinkin Kokkolasta ystävältään Christian-Charles de Plicquelta, ja järjestää yhdessä Ylivieskatalo Akustiikan kanssa Yhteisvastuukeräyksen hyväksi perjantaina 21.5. konsertin, jossa esiintyvät lukuisat laulajat.
The city of Ylivieska's Music Professor and pianist, Jouko Kantola got the idea from his friend Christian-Charles de Plicque and decided to organise this event at the city's Acoustic Concert hall on friday, the 21st May. There will also be other performing artists.

Jukka who has sung in the schools' choir will delight us with his baritone voice.
Pia Räihälä on Chorus Vallis -kuoron solisti, joka on opiskellut myös jazz-laulua.

Texas gospel singer CC has performed with the late Stevie Ray Vaughan, Finland's famed guitarist Jarkka Rissanen, Gospel Legend Andraé Crouch, Finlands' blues legend Pepe Ahlqvist and Finlands' well known Ambassador for the Arts abroad and recording artist and television personality Mikko Kuustonen among others.
Italian ja Islannin keikkojen jälkeen saamme kuulla Plicqueta Kantolan säestyksellä nyt Ylivieskassa! Konsertissa kuullaan myös iki-ihana gospelklassikko Oh Happy Day kaikkien laulajien yhteisesityksenä Mika Kuparin ja Hannu Puomion rytmisektion avustamana.
Jouko and CC have performed together several times in Italy and Iceland over the years and now together in Ylivieska! The concert will climax with the classic "Oh Happy Day! wjere everyone will sing together accompanied by Mika and Hannu in the rhythm section.
